Factors that affect your actual fuel cost:Real-world fuel consumption depends on many variables beyond the average. City driving with frequent stops uses significantly more fuel than highway cruising. Running your car's air conditioner can reduce efficiency by 10–20%. Vehicle age, tyre pressure, load weight, and driving style all play a role. The calculator gives a solid baseline estimate — in practice, budget a small buffer of 10–15% for these variables.
Motorcycles vs cars: Pakistan has one of the highest motorcycle densities in Asia, and motorcycles are highly fuel-efficient compared to cars. A 70cc bike can cover 40–55 km on a single litre of petrol, making it very economical for city commuting. A standard family car (1000–1300cc) typically achieves 12–16 km/L under mixed driving conditions.
Diesel vehicles: Heavy commercial vehicles, buses, and pickup trucks generally run on High-Speed Diesel (HSD). Diesel engines are more fuel-efficient by volume but diesel prices in Pakistan are regulated separately from petrol.
